Prouns of El Lissitzky are a search for the primary source of drawing and composition, a kind of purification of painting from centuries-old cultural layers, that is to say, the release of the foundations. Cubists also went from three-dimensional realistic images to the transfer of individual planes in their different angles. It turned out to be one plane filled with geometric figures. Lissitzky followed them but refused from figurativeness, wishing to show depth in his paintings. The geometric forms of this construction, hovering in the air, can easily become an abstract sculpture or installation.
