The portrait of Andy Warhol, a colleague and friend of Julian Schnabel, can be called mysterious and even creepy. On black velvet with a random splash of paint on the background, the pop art star is on the right side, half-naked, with a red bandage on the waist. He used the well-known fact that someone tried to kill Warhol; he received three pistol bullets in his stomach, after which he barely survived. He was forced to wear a supportive corset, which Julian Schnabel depicted in this painting. The hero of the picture looks very emotional, in contrast to the portraits by Warhol, who portrayed people cold and apathetic.
