Briefly about the painting:
The meeting of two poor children is happening at a glassed-in gallery, which overlooks the city. That city is marked with bright colors – apparently, life there is more festive than that of children in torn black clothes. The bright eyes of the sad child are brightly seen on the face of the child standing against the wall. The nakedness of his legs and his short sleeves make him look miserably. The theme of hopelessness and helplessness attracted the young artist; she presented simple plots with laconic colors and understandable language, which affected the feelings of the ordinary viewer.
