In the 80s, David Hockney, who was fond of the art of photography since his move to America, invented a unique technique. He pasted many pictures of the same landscape onto a large sheet of paper, connecting the frames into a kind of photo collage. Images taken from different angles create an effect of movement and depth of space. Many people compare this technique with Cubist paintings, especially since Hockney was a big fan of this art movement. At the same time, recognizable objects such as road signs and markings indicate that this work belongs to Pop art.
