The image of the city is made in compliance with the basic rules of cubic painting but in a very bright manner. The lack of an accurate narrative – the boundaries of the streets, clear architectural structures, the planes of the sky – all these are not much important: the artist understands that this is a city boulevard flooded with evening lights. The diversity of the palette confirms the author’s “omnivorousness” – she loved all colours, preferring monochrome and uniformity to their abundance. The picture has bright accents of red, ultramarine and lemon yellowness. At the epicenter of the night is a blur of light, indicating that the city does not sleep, despite the rain – its moisture creates many reflexes around the lights and shining reflections.
