About the painting:
The surreal landscape auctioned by Christie for 240 thousand euros, compositionally offers the viewer an angle from a very high point of view. The artist’s manner is recognizable: he uses so blurred outlines that the color spot can be taken for almost any of the real landscape views. For this reason, experts sometimes refer the author’s style as abstract and surreal. This painting is also characteristic of discreet color solution – those are green and ocher shades of the palette, which are also present in other works of the Czech and French artist.
