The landscape depicting the early autumn is painted in the style of art nouveau. Everything seems to be realistic in it; the perspective and proportions of all objects, including the architectural structure, peering through the yellow foliage of birches, are observed. However, at first glance at the canvas, the viewer feels its special decorativeness – it is transmitted both through the subtlety of the painting itself (tiny brushstrokes), and through the harmony of the colours of the sky, water, and trees. Thanks to such elegance of the style, we can feel the general impression of the smartness of the landscape, as if it was from a fairy tale.
