Briefly about the painting:
The surrealistic canvas monochrome in its color characteristics, despite its loud name, depicts two figures wrapped in unpresentable rags. It seems that the bluish realistically depicted clothes miraculously hang in space without legs and arms; instead of faces, there are square gaps in their hoods. However, both figures are tall, stately, and full of dignity – apparently that is why the work received a “royal” name. It is known that the artist never gave his paintings specific names. Beksinski avoided “meetings” with the works of other artists.
