The artist’s dog became a part of her bohemian life. When Filonov rebuked his student for painting cats and dogs too often, she answered that they have different eyes every time. “So, paint them with three eyes,” said the master, and Poret did what he said. Hokusai dominates not only the apartment parties held in Alisa’s house on the Fontanka, but the whole world. Unusual in style, but as always sniper-accurate portraits of her friends occupy only a third of the canvas. A significant place was given to a fish with translucent Spanish castles flying among the clouds.
