This vertically oriented composition cannot be unconditionally referred to Abstractionism. The monumental object looks like an obelisk monument on a multi-stage pedestal. The technique used by the author is unusual for him: small brushstrokes-engines fill the background. An energetic zigzag line intersects the background space, taking the viewer’s gaze out of the picture. The artist, whose colour palette had always been harmoniously calm, used silver to emphasize the solemnity of the image.
