In the early 1980s, returning to America after the death of her husband M. Ernst, Tanning paid more attention to sculpture and literature than to painting. Works of this period are close to abstract art, but the title of the work forces the viewer to strain the imagination and examine the depicted objects. In this case, it is a park with sculptures (possibly with strolling visitors), uneven winding paths and trees. The author used the technique of applying subtle color shades with different color intensity in 1950s. At the same time, fragmentary outlines of objects and figures allow to “read” the plot.
