1950
Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: the collection of Mary Claire Burliuk (the USA).
This light, even festive interior still life once again confirms very clearly that Burliuk is the author of paintings in completely different styles. Flowering branches standing in a surprisingly transparent glass and a jug with a handle on a lit windowsill are depicted realistically. The presence of angels can be guessed from the title – the viewer can see only the light from their swiftly elegant (blue, pink and sunny) wings. A lot of blue and other cold colours do not make the picture less warm in mood, but give a feeling of fresh air in the room and outside the window.
