The sculpture dates back to the early Cubist period in the artist’s long creative career. The geometrically symmetrical torso is carved from a single block of soft porous stone. The details of the sculpture, reflected in the name, are embryos – there are three of them in the upper part of the sculpture. At the foot, there is another expressive element – an open mollusc shell. The presence of these parts in this easily understandable sculpture indicates the author’s interest in surrealistic tendencies, which were at the peak of their heyday at that time.
