The monumental and bright canvas demonstrates the harmonious combination of cubism and futurism that the author used to express the dynamism and plastic unity of the world very accurately. Boccioni’s painting is practically devoid of traditional volume. The figures of the horse and its rider break up into separate components, rushing past the viewer in a fast-moving stream. Their inner strength uncontrollably tears out, tearing and deforming the outer shell, saturating space with unstoppable energy. In this picture, Boccioni used the so-called “lines of force”, indicating the relationship of movement and the surrounding space.
