The work refers to a series of drawings created by the artist on the basis of Zen teachings famous in America. In the late period of his work, Allan Kaprow moved away from mass happenings and experiments and began to pay more attention to his inner world and simple everyday activities. Using a pencil and paper, the artist expressed his feelings during meditation with the help of simple geometric shapes. These drawings, intended not for a wide audience, are a purely abstract expression of such concepts as movement and stillness, concentration and relaxation, peace and activity.
