In the 1960s, the artist experienced a great creative impulse. He created several series of paintings and graphic works, including the series “Catastrophe” – the darkest and most emotional of his works. The work dedicated to the angry sea elements is made in dark colours. It depicts a small fishing village located near the shore, which seems to be about to be broken by the hurricane. Due to the dynamic lines and the rightly depicted sense of airspace, the abstract painting creates a feeling of realism.
