1929 - 1933
The Archive-Collection of the Architectural Charitable Fund named after Yakov Chernikhov, Moscow (Russia).
Pencil, gouache and ink on paper.
Many of Yakov Chernikhov’s projects are not a separate building but a whole complex of buildings designed for a specific purpose. During his career, the artist created and implemented several such complexes that have a wide variety of purposes. This is a project of a housing estate with an industrial zone, which the author provided with a comfortable location and proper functioning of all its elements. The figure depicts the urban infrastructure from above, which makes it possible to cover the entire project completely. Together with the thoughtfulness and accuracy of all the details, the architect gave the image a decorative look, which turns the architectural drawing into a drawing that has independent importance for art.
