The artist’s late work underwent significant changes compared to his works of the postwar years. It became more abstract and meaningful, combining multifaceted forms and a complex colour palette. Based on the analytical art, the teachings of Malewicz and the bowl-dome theory of Sterligov, the artist created his own Universe, filled with many abstract elements and having its own plastic language. Despite all the versatility and complexity, the works of Kondratiev are not a meaningless pile of elements; they have a peculiar structure like a crystal and create a particular musical rhythm and harmony.
