Briefly about the picture:
In the later works of Pougny, the deliberate carelessness of chaotic strokes is noted; he used dark and dim colors of the palette more and more often. Compositions that lost their former constructivism and the play of clearly outlined angular details rather contain a hint of objects than their actual appearance. Being the son of hereditary musicians, the artist did not part with this topic until the end of his life. It can be assumed that the incredibly uneven piano keys, like the bright spot with thin dashes diverging like a fan, represent the sound of the instrument.
