Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: The Tate Modern Gallery, London (the UK).
This landscape is created in an artistic manner typical of Post-impressionism: large forms of objects, complete lack of details. The trees on the shady side, as well as those illuminated on the opposite bank and dark reflections in the water, are depicted schematically and seem impenetrably dense. The artist painted the calm flow of a narrow river with clouds reflected in it and illuminated by sunlight. The shining surface of the water is perfectly depicted by the painter.
