The works of Andriienko-Nechytailo of the post-surreal and neo-realistic periods are characterized by the accuracy of the composition, which is subtly in harmony with colour schemes. The late Cubist and Constructivist manner of the artist returned in his late works. A man, “composed” of strict geometric figures, occupies the entire space of the picture. He is monumental and visually static – Andriienko categorically rejected the methods of many artists who tried to depict movement.
