1913
Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: the private collection of the artist’s family.
This is the most futuristic, most cubist and most abstract work, which the artist created in Paris. At first glance, it is only an abstraction, so the figures (these are pairs dancing the waltz) move quickly, and their flying clothes turn into many irregular cones, triangles and squares. Colours overlap, flowing from one form to another. Space is filled up to the last millimeter – it is difficult to distinguish where the walls or floor begin if the artist implied them.
