The Peace Bridge, Canada, Calgary, built of glass, concrete and metal, 129 m long, has no supports throughout its entire length, except for the main ones on the opposite banks of the river. The structured shape is defined by a spiral developed over an oval cross-section with two well-defined tangential radii that create an architectural space within. The upper openings are filled with glazed leaves curved in the same shape as the outer part of the spiral shape, which provides protection for users from rain and winter weather conditions.
