One of the most famous and largest projects by Eduardo Paolozzi is a mosaic at one of the London Underground stations. Having received an order for the design of a room the size of which was a thousand square meters, the artist pondered for a long time on how to make the image understandable to people who look at it while moving. He decided to use dynamic, vibrant images – such as musical instruments, electronics, animals and people who attract attention with their bright colours and positive mood. Residents of London perceived the work very positively, and its partial dismantling in 2015 in connection with the expansion of the subway evoked a storm of public indignation.
