Inspired by the visit to his homeland, India, Anish Kapoor created abstract sculptures, the name of which implies their infinite number. The artist was delighted by the rich colour of the local pigments, which attract the eye with by their clearness and deepness. The artist placed the cone-shaped, oval and elongated forms directly on the floor or wall of the room, without any pedestals, and completely covered the drywall constructions with powdery monochrome pimento, scattering some powder directly on the floor near the sculpture. In their form, these coloured statues resemble at the same time ancient pyramids, modern skyscrapers and church candles; this allows us to talk about the deep philosophical subtext of this work.
