Location: The Imperial War Museum of London (the UK).

The painting of the artist, who served as a gunner in the war, was named with the words used as the order of a senior sergeant “Feeds Round!” – this was an order that the men should finish caring for the horses and prepare them for further movement. That is why animals of all colours are presented with their back to their viewer. Despite the conditional image of people, all of them are actively moving, and their efforts are quite clearly read on their faces trying to manage as much as possible and to be ready for loading horses in cars in time. The artist also introduced military figures in uniform, without which the work would have been completely peaceful.
