The work, highly estimated by Filonov, was created in tandem with the artist’s close friend, Alisa Poret. This is a multi-figure composition, where each individual plot-apartment tells its own story. As in many works by Glebova, the theme of music is present in the canvas; the largest central “apartment” is dedicated to this theme. There we can see the full diversity of the musical world, starting from a simple organ grinder and ending with a spiritualized performer playing the flute. All this is led by a certain conductor, calm and reasonable, like life itself.
