1931
Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: The Pompidou Center, Paris (France).
The painting by the young artist that had just arrived in Paris attracted people’s attention due to its theme that was bold for this somewhat parody portrait. The artist used oil paints so thinly that the technique is similar to watercolor or pastel. The author, who practically did not study at any art schools, accurately drew details and used surprisingly harmonious color solutions. The work was presented at the first personal exhibition of the artist at the gallery of C. Dior “Bonjean” in 1932.
